Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy describes cookies and similar storage technologies associated with elmridgeoperations.com and the privacy controls provided by Elmridge Operations. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. The purpose of the controls is to give you a clear choice about optional purposes while keeping essential website functions available.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on a device. Websites can also use local storage and other technologies to remember settings or access information. Session storage ordinarily lasts for a visit, while persistent storage can remain after the page is closed until it expires or is removed.
These technologies have different purposes. Some are necessary for requested functions or security. Others may remember optional preferences, measure website use, or support advertising. A technology is not essential merely because it is useful to the business. Its actual purpose determines the relevant disclosure and choice.
2. The privacy record used by our website
The Elmridge privacy interface uses browser local storage to remember the visitor's decision. This is a preference record for the consent mechanism, rather than a form submission or client account. The record is created when you interact with the privacy controls.
| Storage item | Purpose and contents | Validity |
|---|---|---|
| elmridge_privacy_v1 Local storage | Remembers purpose permissions, the time of the choice, and a policy version. It does not include your name, email, phone, form message, or assistant conversation. | 180 days. An expired record is removed when the website next checks it. Browser storage may remain on a device that does not revisit the website until the user clears it. |
The request form does not store its field values in this record. The assistant does not store conversation text in this record. Browser autofill and independent browser features are controlled by your own browser settings.
3. Essential functions
Essential website functions may include protecting the site, delivering requested pages, maintaining technical operation, and remembering a privacy choice. The privacy interface identifies these functions as always active when needed. Refusing optional purposes does not remove access to the ordinary company information or the on-page request form.
Website infrastructure may also use essential session or security technologies. Their precise names and lifetimes depend on the actual platform configuration. They should be identified in the site's current technology inventory when configured. This policy does not present an unverified list of third-party cookie names as established facts.
4. Optional preferences, analytics, and marketing
Optional preferences can remember non-essential choices. Analytics can help measure visits and website activity. Marketing technologies can measure advertising or personalize marketing. These categories are separated in the privacy dialog so that a visitor can choose them independently.
The Elmridge website do not themselves add advertising pixels or analytics services. A saved permission does not prove that a service is installed or cause an absent service to begin collecting information. If an optional service is configured, it must follow the applicable permissions and its actual provider, purpose, and retention must be disclosed before use where required.
5. Making a choice
The banner offers Accept optional, Reject optional, and Preferences. Accept optional records permission for the listed optional categories, subject to any applicable browser privacy signal. Reject optional records those categories as off. Preferences lets you choose categories individually and save that decision.
Where an affirmative consent is required, continued browsing alone is not treated as consent. Optional purposes should remain disabled until the required choice is made. Essential functions remain available. A website platform's own regional privacy settings also affect its processing and must be configured consistently with the intended consent behavior.
6. Website platform controls
When you make a choice, the privacy interface passes the corresponding preferences, analytics, and marketing permissions to the website platform's supported privacy controls when they are available. This provides a connection between the visible controls and the platform's managed processing. The interface does not grant sale/sharing permission.
A separate script or third-party embed may not automatically respect those controls. Any such service must be configured to respect the applicable choice or kept disabled until permission is obtained. A banner by itself does not stop every independently added script. The actual site configuration must therefore stay aligned with this policy.
7. Changing or withdrawing a choice
Open Privacy preferences in the footer at any time to review or change the categories. Saving a new decision updates the local preference record and, where available, the platform's privacy controls. Refusing a previously allowed purpose affects future permitted processing; it does not undo processing that was lawful before the change.
You can also clear website data in your browser. This removes the saved local preference and may cause the banner to appear again on the next visit. If local storage is blocked, your choice can still apply for the current interaction, but the website may not remember it for a later visit.
8. Global Privacy Control
Where the browser exposes Global Privacy Control, this interface detects the signal and keeps its marketing permission off. It also does not grant sale/sharing permission. The marketing control is disabled while that signal is present so the interface does not present a contradictory choice.
Other platform or third-party systems must support the relevant signal where applicable law requires it. Browser settings may provide additional privacy options beyond this interface. The existence of a signal does not mean that every technology on an independently configured website recognizes it automatically.
9. Choice duration and new purposes
The saved decision is treated as valid for 180 days. When it expires, the interface asks for a new choice on the next visit and removes the expired record. Updating the policy version or clearing browser data can also require a new decision.
If a new technology or purpose materially changes what the visitor was told, the website should provide updated information and obtain a new choice where required before using it. An old saved preference is not unlimited authorization for unrelated future tracking.
10. Device settings and external services
Your browser can block or remove cookies and local website data. Blocking all storage may affect features that need it, including remembering privacy choices. Consult the controls provided by your browser or device for those settings.
An independent website reached outside this site operates under its own policies. A technology embedded within this website still needs to be included in the site's actual disclosures and controls. Neither an external link nor use of a provider transfers responsibility for our own processing to the visitor.
11. Updates and questions
We revise this policy when the website's technologies or privacy controls materially change and display the updated date. The current inventory should reflect the technologies actually deployed rather than illustrative examples. If you have a question about a saved choice or believe a service is operating inconsistently with it, contact us using the details below.
